As per reports, the bridge shakes dangerously whenever a heavy vehicle goes over it. The dilapidated old bridge is broken in many places and poses a grave threat to commuters.

Simultaneous house searches were conducted by Odisha Vigilance teams led by 6 DSPs, 3 Inspectors, 8 ASIs and other staff after obtaining search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar at 7 places in Khordha (Bhubaneswar), Nayagarh and Cuttack districts.

No sooner was a paddy procurement centre opened in Nayagarh than the issue of ‘katni chhatni’ (weight reduction in per quintal of paddy) raised the heat in Nayagarh on Wednesday.
