Maoist posters in Nuapada; Odisha bandh on Jan 8

Nuapada: A day after the Maoists had torched 7 construction vehicles at Sirigidi village here, the Red Rebels on Monday have planted several posters on the walls and doors of houses in Sarajanga village in the district.

It is believed that the outlawed group has done it to strengthen its base in the area.

Panic gripped the area and security forces have intensified combing operations to avoid any untoward incident.

Notably, a group of armed rebels had attacked the contractor’s camp at Sirigiri and torched the vehicles used in road construction work.

Meawnhile, the Odisha State Committee of CPI (Maoist)has called Odisha and Chhattishgarh bandh on January 8, reports said.
