Kavita Krishnamurthy enthrals city audience at Toshali

Bhubaneswar: The Janta Miadan was jam-packed with audience to witness the performance of famous Bollywood singer Kavita Krishnamurthy at the 11th cultural evening of the Toshali Crafts Mela here on Sunday.

Around five thousand people of all age groups flocked to the place to see a glimpse of the Bollywood fame. People were seen dancing to her songs at the do. Earlier on December 18, Idian Idol fame Amit Sana also performed at the festival enthralling many with his melodious voice.

Today, traditional dance forms like Paika dance, Chhou dance and Ranapa dance will be performed by various troupes today. Besides, song and dance events will be presented by differently-abled artistes on the last on December 27.

Principal Secretary of MSME Department LN Gupta attended the event as chief guest. State Handloom, Textiles & Handicraft Department Secretary Chitra Arumugam was also present.

The Mela, inaugurated by Handicrafts Minister Snehangini Churia, has featured around 350 stalls from Odisha and outside.
