As per IMD, a cyclonic circulation is likely to form over Northwest Bay of Bengal around July 18, 2023.

It is pertinent to mention here that several parts of Odisha witnessed moderate to heavy rainfall activities on Saturday. Even the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar reported acute waterlogging conditions yesterday.

An 'orange warning' for heavy rainfall has been issued for seven districts of the state today. The alert has been issued for the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Nabarangapur and Koraput.

As per IMD, a cyclonic circulation is likely to form over the Northwest Bay of Bengal around July 16, 2023. Under its influence, a low-pressure area is likely to form over the same region during the subsequent two to three days, said IMD.
