Construction of FOBs at Satsang Vihar, Palasuni in Bhubaneswar to start soon: MP Aparajita Sarangi

Work on foot-over-bridges at Satsang Vihar and Palasuni in Bhubaneswar is going to start soon, informed MP Aparajita Sarangi on Friday.

Sarangi revealed this while releasing her annual report card as the Member of Parliament of Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha Constituency.

As per Sarangi, the construction work of FOB at Satsang Vihar will start on August 1, while the construction of Hanspal FOB will be finished by December 31.

Addressing a press conference, Sarangi said, “With the blessing of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and help of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, I have succeeded in starting several projects worth Rs 6462 crore in Bhubaneswar Parliamentary Constituency.”

“The projects include 30 vehicle underpasses, nine flyovers, four foot over bridges, capital region ring road and many more. More importantly, I have been monitoring the progress of all the projects every week,” she said.

“Palasuni is an accident-prone place. We need a subway to minimise these accidents. During the first year of my term as MP, I started work on a foot-over bridge at Hanspal Square. It got delayed due to land acquisition issues. But that has been resolved now and the NHAI has been directed to complete the same by December 31, 2023,” Sarangi said.
