Bhubaneswar is the capital of Odisha .It is the biggest city and the main power corridor of Odisha. The city is famous for its ancient rich heritage especially its historic monumental temples. It is popularly known as the temple city. Because many temples built from sandstone are dotted around Bindu Sagar Lake in the old city, including the 11th-century Hindu Lingaraja Temple.
The woman alleged that some top Odisha government officials, retired now, had demanded a bribe of Rs 50 lakh from her for a job. However, official releases from the state government departments show a different story.

There seems to be no let-up in loot and break-ins in Bhubaneswar. In the latest incident, two unidentified bike-borne miscreants swiftly took a bag containing gold and silver ornaments from in front of a jewellery shop under Airfield Police limits and fled from the spot on Friday night.
BJP leader Lekhashree Samantasinghar said, "There are many officers who have overstayed at their place of postings. Many of them have not been transferred for five, 10, and even 12 years since their postings. Their long service in one place is against the guidelines meant for free and fair elections.”
As per the experts, this remarkable uptrend in the value of the precious yellow metal is primarily attributed to the anticipation of an interest rate cut by the US Federal Reserve in June.
BJD MLA Nrusingha Charan Sahu said, "BJD has agreed to an alliance only in the interest of Odisha. The people of Odisha will be benefitted from the alliance."
