The Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Thursday conducted simultaneous raids on the properties linked to Ajay Kumar Senapati, who works as an assistant engineer in (R & B) Division-II in Balasore district.

During the scuffle, Ratikanta reportedly hit Rashmiprabha on her head with a helmet. Losing consciousness, Rashmiprabha fell down on the ground.

Earlier on Monday, five students of the Kanyashram reportedly tested positive for the viral brain infection and shifted to the DHH along with two other inmates of the institution.

As per reports, the accused Chandan Rana allegedly threw acid on Gita (name changed), her sister Monica (name changed) and her two children.

Taking the matter seriously, the Health Department has shifted the five affected students along with two other inmates to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).

As per reports, Chouhan was on his way to Balasore from Fuladi when he saw a sand laden truck halting over the Fuladi bridge. Chouhan got down from his vehicle to check the papers.

The victim had an altercation over an unknown issue with some villagers in the morning. During the argument, he reportedly threatened to cast spells on some of the people in the village, after which the mob grew violent and thrashed him to death.
