Another Odisha government employee has come under the scanner of the Vigilance department for alleged corruption and accumulation of disproportionate assets.
The Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Thursday conducted simultaneous raids on the properties linked to Ajay Kumar Senapati, who works as an assistant engineer in (R & B) Division-II in Balasore district.
According to sources, the anti-corruption agency carried out simultaneous raids at seven places associated with Senpati.
Four DSPs, 10 inspectors, two sub-inspectors and other staff carried out the raids in Puri, Balasore and Khurdha districts on the strength of search warrants issued by the Bhubaneswar Vigilance Special Judge, sources informed.
Senapti’s residential house located at Madanmohan Lane, flat at Ananya Palm Beach in Puri, government residential quarter, his office in Balasore, a double-storey building, parental house and relative’s house in Khordha were raided by the anti-corruption agency.
While exact details of the raids will be known later, the Vigilance teams are said to have already laid their hands on many crucial documents related to the property of the government official.
