Orissa High Court Directs Government To Postpone State Film Awards Function

The Orissa High Court has on Monday directed the State government to put on hold the 31st edition of the Odisha State Film Awards function which was scheduled to be held on December 14.

Hearing a petition filed by Bobby Islam, the High Court directed the government to put the event on hold and re-examine the winners announced in all the 27 categories.

The HC also directed the government to inform the Court and the petitioner about the entries selected for awards.

January 7 has been fixed for the next hearing on the petition.
