According to sources, Rajesh Yadav of Udit Nagar area died after being hit by a four-wheeler on Thursday. His body was kept in the mortuary of RGH for post-mortem. However, the parts of the face of the deceased were found eaten up by a dog.

Tension erupted at the hospital following the incident. However, police officials from Raghunathpalli pacified the protestors and brought the situation under control.

Speaking on the incident, the superintendent of the hospital, Jagdish Barik said a team has been formed to probe the incident. He has also assured to take action to prevent reoccurrences of such incidents at the hospital.

As per the latest report, the body was later handed over to the family members after post-mortem.
