1998 romantic-comedy drama Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, starring 'King of Romance' Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji, marked the debut of Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, who was also the writer of the story. Apart from the trio, Salman Khan's brief role was like icing on the cake. The movie went on to become a blockbuster receiving numerous accolades.

While the engaging story made the movie a success, the songs also went on to become hit numbers. Composed by Jatin–Lalit and lyrics penned by Sameer, the songs still feature in the playlists of music lovers while the movie still is refreshing in the minds of movie lovers.
SRK as Rahul, Kajol as Anjali and Rani as Tina went on to rule the hearts while KJo's love magic spread all over.

Now, it seems the ace filmmaker is planning once again to bring back the magic of Rahul, Anjali and Tina onscreen.

When asked about remaking Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and replacement of the lead actors, KJo opined that if he would remake his debut movie, he would bring Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor on board as Rahul, Tina and Anjali.

Here's how movie lovers reacted...

Ranveer, Sara and Janhvi as actors have already made their position stable in the industry. Stepping into different characters, the actors have wowed the audience throughout these years. However, this thought of KJo has not gone down well with the movie lovers.
Some others went on to share their thoughts about making a wise choice by selecting some other actors.

One user said, "Karan Johar pls don't screw our childhood memories. #DisasterResponse #kuchbhi"

Another said, "Poor Karan... Couldn't get a solution for his movie making. and he's the king of Bollywood... Needs some counseling."
The list of comments included, "Such evergreen film does not need remake. Thanks!"

"What a load of Rubbish! Bollywood has already been bought down to the bottom of the pit by these so-called actors, and now KJ wants to rubbish KKHH with this nonsense What's next a Kabhi Khusi Kabhi Gham remake with Salman doing Amitabh's role?" said another user.

Meanwhile, another said, "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is quite an emotional movie. I don't think any remake can do justice to the film, even the acting of these new generation superstars will lack emotions and nostalgia of that time. It's a big No No."

Sharing their opinion on altering the selection, some movie lovers also flooded with their comments.

While one user said, "Alia would be better for Rani's role and Sara Ali Khan would look better as Anjali."

Another said, "And Arjun Kapoor as Almeida."

A user said, "If Rani Mukerji is replaced by Janhvi Kapoor, Kajol is replaced by Alia Bhatt, and SRK is replaced by Ranveer Kapoor, the audience will be replaced by empty seats.

"Varun Dhawan can be Salman as with Alia Bhatt he suits best. SRK can be Kartik (Aryan), Ranveer the old man can be principal," said another user.
