Earlier, Karnataka Health Minister K. Sudhakar had said that some studies have shown that the fourth wave of Covid-19 may start in June-July and last till September, and the state is prepared to face it.

The development has brought some relief to the medical personnel even as Delhi and several states are reporting a spike in COVID-19 cases.

The Weekly Positivity Rate in the country currently stands at 0.43 per cent, while the Daily Positivity rate has reported considerable rise at 0.53 per cent. However, Delhi's positivity rate stands at 5.70 per cent as per the health bulletin issued on Wednesday.
