It is rightly said, that success comes to those who do not let any obstacle distract or deter their grit and determination to achieve their life goals. A glaring example is IAS Namami Bansal, who has proved that there is no substitute for hard work and perseverance.

Hailing from Rishikesh in Uttarakhand, Namami pursued her early schooling in her hometown. She was always a bright student from her school days and secured good marks in her school and college, Indian Masterminds reported.

She secured an impressive 92.4% in Class 10 and 94.8% in Intermediate. She then moved to Delhi and graduated in Economics (Honours) from Lady Shri Ram College. After completing her graduation, she did her MA in Economics from Open University, where she was the topper and received a gold medal from the Governor.

After her MA, she shifted her focus to UPSC, her childhood dream. However, despite being a brilliant mind and topper in college, Namami had to face three failures in her UPSC journey. However, she continued to prepare day and night and kept her focus on her goal instead of getting dejected.

Finally, her hard work paid off and she was among the top 20 aspirants with an exceptional AIR-17 in UPSC CSE 2017. Looking at her own UPSC journey, Namami advices aspirants not to let failures overwhelm them at any point of time. She highlighted that without perseverance and determination, no goal is achievable.

“Success cannot come to you. You have to work hard in order to achieve it. Never stop doing hard work in any situation. Failure will never overtake you if you are determined to work towards your dream. Always stay positive, believe in yourself, and only then start preparing for your exam every day,” Indian Masterminds quoted Namami.
