The Odisha Government on Sunday ordered a temporary suspension of internet and social media services in parts of Cuttack city following reports of tension and violent incidents between two groups. It was later also extended. Meanwhile, the 36-hour curfew has been relaxed.
Twin City Police Commissioner S. Dev Datta Singh informed that the curfew restrictions has been relaxed in Cuttack. The curfew, which began at 10 PM on Sunday, concluded as scheduled at 10 AM on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. The restrictions have been lifted after no untoward incident was reported during the curfew period.
