The 36-hour curfew restrictions in Cuttack, following recent clashes, has been relaxed with authorities confirming the return to normalcy in the city. Twin City Police Commissioner S. Dev Datta Singh informed that the curfew restrictions has been relaxed in Cuttack.
The curfew, which began at 10 PM on Sunday, concluded as scheduled at 10 AM on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
The restrictions have been relaxed as no new notification regarding extension has been issued so far. Earlier, the restrictions were clamped in 13 places following the unrest in Cuttack. The Police Commissioner has appealed people to maintain peace and tranquility.
Internet Ban Prolonged
Earlier, the temporary suspension of internet services in Cuttack was extended for another 24 hours. The Home Department cited concerns about the misuse of digital platforms to spread rumours or incite unrest.

The official suspension order has been in effect from 7 PM on October 6 to 7 PM on October 7, 2025, covering key areas under the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC), Cuttack Development Authority (CDA), and 42 Mauza regions.
Call for Calm and Cooperation
The administration has appealed to citizens to maintain peace and cooperate with the restrictions. It has also warned that any attempts to violate curfew or spread misinformation will be met with strict legal action.
