Cuttack: As many as 92,695 candidates appeared the Odisha Civil Service Preliminary Examination, 2015, conducted by the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC)on Sunday.
162 centres were fixed in five Zonal Centres in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Balasore, Berahampur and Sambalpur for the test, OPSC sources said.
The Preliminary Examination covered two papers of objective type (multiple choice questions) having two hours duration each. Both the papers carry 200 marks each.
The examination was conducted in two sittings. The first sitting started from 10.30 am and ended at 12.30 pm while the second sitting commenced at 2 pm and finished at 4 pm.
The OPSC will invite the candidates those would clear the prelim test for main examination. Date for the main examination would be announced later, sources said.
The Main Examination will comprise Odia language, English, English Essay, General Studies-I and II papers, two optional subjects having two papers each as prescribed.
