Bhubaneswar: Two-wheeler sellers in the State will now include ISI-marked helmets in the list of accessories while selling the vehicles. Transport minister Ramesh Majhi yesterday gave a directive in this regard to Transport commissioner to inform the sellers about the government order.
Majhi told mediapersons that if any dealer defies the order, the State government will cancel his trade certificate.
The minister further said it is mandatory for riders to wear helmets. The move is to check the growing number casualties in road accidents in the State.
