Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the winter session of the assembly, the Naveen Patnaik-headed council of ministers on Thursday approved the state government’s supplementary budget for 2014-15, official sources said.
Finance minister Pradip Amat would place the budget worth Rs 3860 cr in the winter session of the State assembly which is beginning from December 20, sources said.
Maxium of Rs 172 cr have been fixed for the agriculture sector and Rs 15 cr for Nabakalebar festival-2015.
In comparison to the last one, this Supplementary budget is lesss. “Less revenue collection is the main reason”, official sources said. Closure of mines has hit the revenue collection at large, sources added.
