“My job was good, but there was no internal satisfaction. It all became so mechanical that at one point I could not take it anymore,” the IAS officer was quoted as saying by the Hindustan Times.

Her dream of becoming an IAS officer was finally fulfilled. In her third attempt in 2019, she managed to become an IAS officer by securing the third rank in the UPSC exam.

For IAS aspirants, she recommended practicing to solve online test series and relying on notes from coaching.

Without fail, she used to study for 9-10 hours a day and her hard work finally paid off. She appeared for UPSC in 2021 and managed to clear the Prelims and Mains on her first attempt.

The high court upheld the CAT's decision, noting that candidates have a seven-day window to correct application form errors after the application window closes, which the petitioner did not utilise.

Her hard work paid off and she secured an AIR12 in 2016. She is now happily married to IPS Officer Abhishek Gupta.
