His father worked as a daily wager to earn a living for the family. The family was left in a lurch after he passed away at an early age. With no option left, his mother also worked as a daily labourer and did odd jobs for the family.

She raised goats and buffaloes to provide for the family but never compromised on her son’s education. Today, he is an IAS officer, making her mother proud. We are talking about the remarkable journey of IAS Vishal Kumar.

Born and brought up in the Muzaffarpur area of Bihar, IAS Vishal Kumar’s journey was full of obstacles. Despite his father’s death, his mother ensured that her son got the best education. Vishal also did not disappoint his mother and was a brilliant student from his childhood.

He topped his Class X and Class XII and later went on to clear the IIT entrance exam to secure a prestigious seat at IIT Kanpur. After his graduation from IIT Kanpur, he was hired by Reliance with a high-paying salary.

However, after working there, he decided to quit his lucrative job and prepare for the IAS. He moved to Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar and prepared religiously for India’s toughest exam.

With his perseverance, hard work, and determination, Vishal Kumar was able to get AIR-484 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2021. Today, he is an inspiration for many aspirants who are on the verge of giving up on their dreams and passion due to financial and family problems.
