When Savitri Behera, a Plus 2 second-year student of Prince Residential College in Balasore reportedly fell off from her hostel building on the night of May 18 (Wednesday), the incident sparked another speculation with some terming it a case of ragging and murder.

A purported 'suicide' note recovered from his bag mentioned he was allegedly denied leave by higher officials despite repeated requests.

Three women, who were found hanging from a tree near Tohara village under Umerkote police limits in Nabarangpur district on Saturday night, were adults, informed Umerkote Tehsildar.

The deceased, Sumati Parida, was a resident of Padmapur area under Basudevpur block in Bhadrak district. Her husband Ramakant Parida had hanged himself to death on March 13.
