Woman Jumps Before Jan Shatabdi Express At Balasore’s Soro, Loses Both Hands

In what appeared to be a suicide case, a woman on Friday jumped in front of the Jan Shatabdi Express at Soro railway station and lost her both hands. 

The severely injured woman was immediately rescued and rushed to Soro community health centre (CHC) from where she was shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for treatment. 

The woman is learnt to be a resident of Matiapalli village under Soro municipality area. 

According to sources, the woman was loitering on the platform. On seeing the train puffing in, she threw herself before it.
