As per initial reports, around 60 passengers from Nepal were travelling in the tourist bus which was on its way to Puri.
According to eyewitnesses, the bike rider was taking a U-turn near Utkal Hospital when a speeding car hit him from behind. The car dragged the biker for at least 100 meters.
Four days after the incident, the police identified the deceased and handed over the body to Dinabandhu’s wife.
According to eyewitnesses, the car dragged the deceased labourer to some distance, killing him on the spot. The deceased labourer was sleeping on the footpath when he was run over by the speeding car.
The mishap was so tragic that all three were killed on the spot.
As per initial reports, students of several schools along with teachers were on their way to attend district-level sports event when the mishap occurred.
The 28-year-old deceased has been identified as Amit Kumar Bisoyi, who was a native of Berhampur in Ganjam district.
Tigiria IIC, Gyana Ranjan Samal said, “The mishap occurred at around 2:30 pm. Five persons were travelling inside the car when it hit a truck coming from the opposite side. Three persons died on the spot while another died on the way to the hospital.”
The impact of the collision was so severe that the car was badly mangled. Fortunately, two women passengers and the conductor present inside the bus survived with minor injuries.
Four were killed while three others were critically injured after the ambulance hit a truck on the Chittoor-Tirupathi highway, reports said.

As per reports, a speeding truck first hit a dumper from behind which hit a broken-down camper near Mulapal.
Some 40 labourers were going from Baramile area in Mayurbhanj district to Kamarda in Balasore district to work as farm labourers.
Of the 25 injured, condition of six is stated to be critical, sources said.
