His remarks came after Rahul Gandhi while speaking on the Women’s Reservation Bill in Lok Sabha demanded for caste based census.

Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters here, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi said, "Yesterday PM in Parliament spoke for over 2 hours and 13 minutes and in last, for 2 minutes, he spoke on Manipur."
In a 2.55-minute video montage shared on its official X (formerly known as Twitter) handle, the saffron party said: "Mohabbat dil mein milti hai, dukaan mein nahi. Ye toh kamai jati hain, kahin bikti nahi. Yeh toh dil mein rehti hai, dukaan mein nahin (love lives in the heart, it is earned not in the shop, it is not sold anywhere, it lives in the heart, not in the shop)."
BJP women MPs later met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and demanded "stringent action" against Gandhi.
BJP too is gearing up to shift its strategy to attack Rahul Gandhi with a view to counter the opposition.
The Supreme Court gave him a big relief and stayed his conviction, which cost him his Lok Sabha membership. The court said that no reasons were given by the trial judge for imposing the maximum punishment of two years in the case.
As per the cause list published on the apex court website, a bench of Justices B.R. Gavai, P.S. Narasimha, and Prashant Kumar Mishra will continue to hear Gandhi’s plea.
A bench headed by Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud directed to list the matter on Friday after senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, appearing for Rahul Gandhi, sought urgent listing of the matter.
However, local party JD-S has opted out of the meet amid the rumours of the party joining the BJP-led NDA.
The Gujarat High Court had refused to stay Rahul Gandhi's conviction and two-year jail term in a criminal defamation case, which cost the Congress leader his Lok Sabha membership. A bench of Justice Hemant Prachchhak had observed that granting a stay on his conviction would be an exception, and not a rule.
Following the order, Rahul Gandhi will not be able to contest elections or seek revocation of the suspension of his status as a Member of Parliament (MP).
She further expressed concern about Rahul Gandhi's interactions with individuals and organisations funded by George Soros, such as the Global Vice President of the Open Society Foundation, who accompanied him during the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Karnataka.
