The Odisha government will slowly lift lockdown restrictions in a phased manner if the current trend of Covid-19 positivity rate persists in its downward curve in the next few days. Director of Health Services Bijay Mohapatra made the statement while addressing reporters on Saturday.
The Odisha government has once again extended the State-wide lockdown restrictions in the State for 16 more days till June 17 in order to further contain the cases of Covid infections.
In a major move, the Odisha government on Sunday extended the State-wide lockdown till June 17 in view of the prevailing pandemic situation. The 16-day extension of the curbs will come into effect immediately.
The Odisha government on Saturday clarified that there will be no physical classroom teaching in any universities or colleges but only online classes will resume after the end of summer vacation next week.
