Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has once again extended the State-wide lockdown restrictions in the State for 16 more days till June 17 in order to further contain the cases of Covid infections.

During this period, other containment measures like weekend shutdowns will continue as usual starting 6 pm of Fridays till 5 am of Mondays. Vaccination and testing for Covid-19 will continue as per the protocols laid out by the State Health Department at designated centres. 

The following activities will be strictly prohibited.

People coming from other States by any means shall have to produce Covid test report obtained within 48 hours before entering Odisha or final Vaccination certificate. People coming without such reports will have to mandatorily undergo 7 days quarantine.

The State government has allowed some relaxations in three districts Nuapada, Gajapati and Sundargarh following decline in cases of Covid infections over the last few weeks. All types of shops excluding malls, markets, haats, salons, barber shops in the concerned districts allowed to function from Monday to Friday (7 am to 1 pm).

All kinds of inter and intra-State public transport shall remain suspended across Odisha during the lockdown period except with emergency needs.

All agriculture, industrial, construction activities allowed to operate.
