DRDO and Indian Army have successfully completed 6 flight tests of Quick Reaction Surface to Air Missile (QRSAM) system from Integrated Test Range (ITR) Chandipur, off the Odisha Coast. The flight tests have been conducted as part of evaluation trials by Indian Army. Watch this video.

Six flight-tests of Quick Reaction Surface to Air Missile (QRSAM) system were successfully conducted by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Army.

Kamat, who is currently the Director General Naval Systems & Materials at the DRDO, will succeed G. Satheesh Reddy, who will become the Scientific Adviser to the Defence Minister.

The missiles, equipped with indigenous Radio Frequency (RF) seeker, intercepted the target with high accuracy, the defence ministry said in a statement.

As per the advertisement, the apprentices will be engaged for a period of one year and the selection will be made on the basis of academic merit / written test/interview as required.

The defence ministry said the missiles destroyed the targets with precision at two different ranges.

The selection for the DEBEL recruitment will be made on the basis of online or offline interviews.

The anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) was successfully test fired from Arjun battle tank, the ministry's statement noted.

Once released, the online application submission link will be available at RAC website, https://rac.gov.in.

The VL-SRSAM is a ship-borne weapon system which works for neutralising various aerial threats at close range including sea-skimming targets.

According to the notification issued by DRDO, the last date for online applications for the posts is 28 June 2022. 

As per the advertisement, the JRFs will be initially engaged for a period of two years at the Laboratory. The walk-in-interview for the posts will be held on May 21, 2022.

The flight-test was jointly conducted by team of scientists of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), the Indian Army, and the Indian Air Force, as part of the user validation trials.
