Even as a day has passed since the assault of a photo journalist in broad daylight by a policeman outside Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, no action has been taken against the errant cop. Such inaction by the police has drawn sharp criticism from journalists who have demanded immediate arrest of the accused policeman.

After a brief lull, chain snatchers are having a field day in Bhubaneswar. Of late, one such chain snatching incident has created panic among residents of the State capital.

In view of the upcoming festivities, the Commissionerate Police has decided to clamp certain traffic restrictions for the convenience and safety of general public. The traffic restrictions will come to effect from October 1 to October 5, 2022 from 4 pm to 2 am.

Amid several reports of pickpocketing in public transport system 'Mo Bus' in Bhubaneswar, the Commissionerate Police on Friday claimed to have arrested two members of a theft gang behind the crime.  

A youth was allegedly thrashed to death by his elder brother at Nuasahi area in Bhubaneswar’s Nayapalli for neglecting his studies.
