Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) constituted a committee to decide marking scheme for Class-12 students, whose board exams have been cancelled. The committee is comprised of 12 members and a notification in this regard was issued on Friday (June 4).
In a major decision, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has incorporated coding and data science into its syllabus from the year 2021 onwards. The Centre had earlier proposed the introduction of coding and data science into the syllabus of students in its National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. In a tweet on Friday, Union Education Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal welcomed the decision of the CBSE.
"Under NEP 2020, we promised to introduce coding and data science in schools. Today, I'm happy to see CBSE fulfilling the promise right in the session of 2021 itself. CBSE is empowering India's future generations with new-age skills."
