Salipur: Even as the CBSE Class 12 results fiasco is yet to be resolved, allegations of discrepancy have emerged against the State’s Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) as well.

Two female students of Salipur College have brought allegations of errors in marking in the CHSE Plus Two results. While one student alleged her marks were swapped with another student’s, the other girl said she was given 0.5 marks for a correct answer of an objective question which was not accepted by the software.

Plus Two Science student Pragyan Paramita secured first class but was shocked to see she had got only 30 in English. When she obtained her answer sheet from CHSE, she received another student’s answer sheet who had scored 30 in the subject.

Similarly, Mousumi Moharana of the Salipur College had expected to score 75% but was heart broken to find she was placed in second divison.

She applied for her answer sheet and found that she was given 0.5 marks for a correct answer that should have earned her 1 mark. The system did not accept the score for tabulation since as per objective marking pattern the score can either be 1 or 0.

CHSE officials have meanwhile said they have not received any complaints of errors in results. “The students who have any issues with results should bring it to our notice. We will ensure they get the correct results,” said Prabodh Kumar Panda, Deputy Controller of Examination, CHSE.
