New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Students across the state awaiting their Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 results that were to be declared today will have to wait longer. Results of the CBSE Class 12 exam will not be declared today as per Board sources.

Following a directive by the Delhi High Court on May 23 that asked CBSE to restore the moderation policy, the results have been deferred. The moderation policy will help students secure extra marks for difficult questions.

In this regard, HRD minister Prakash Javadekar is holding a high level meeting today to be attended by CBSE chairman Rakesh Kumar Chaturvedi and Department of School Education and Literacy secretary Anil Swarup and so on.

The results will however be declared soon, said CBSE officials adding that the moderation policy is done scientifically and hence should not delay publishing of results for too long. The officials added that they are awaiting to receive the High Court order to act accordingly.
