Brahmastra: Part One- Shiva, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt registered several new records and outranked numerous other Indian movies. While the story plot, screenplay, dialogues and onscreen performance of the lead actors received negative points, the visual effects in the movie got mostly appreciated.
Director Ayan Mukerji and Ranbir have come up with a clarification about the same.
Fans are still in awe of the visual spectacles in the flick, which was never before been attempted in any Indian movie. Of course, the VFX played a major part in drawing the audience to the theatres.
The director said the sequel will switch between the past and the present and showcase how Dev impacts the universe. Along with Dev's story, the sequel will unfold about the problems faced by the community and the world because of Brahmastra. Moreover, Ayan also revealed that he has set a target to release the sequel in 2025.
It seems the outrageous boycott calls and controversies surrounding the makers and actors of Brahmastra faded away which helped the film to emerge as a new trendsetter.
SSR's sister Meetu Singh, taking a jibe at Bollywood, wrote, "Sushant's Brahmastra is enough to destroy this Bollywood."
Nandiastra represents the fierce power of bull and Nagarjuna nailed his character with his power-packed action sequences.
Sharing the good news with his fans, filmmaker-host Karan Johar wrote, “The light shines bright… Eternally grateful to the audience for their Big Love..”

According to 'Bollywood Hungama', early estimates indicated that the Ayan Mukherji movie has collected in the range of Rs 36.50 crore to Rs 38.50 crore on its opening day.
While the boycott calls for Brahmastra has been trending on social media, Ranbir and Alia were restricted from entering Ujjain Mahakaleshwar Temple. Ranbir quoting Lord Jagannath on a wrong notion, and his remarks on beef also didn't go well with many and sparked resentment among movie lovers.
