In her letter, Padhee highlighted that the objective of the Angikaar–2025 campaign is to fast-track completion of under-progress houses under PMAY-U, facilitate housing loans through banks for beneficiaries, create awareness about the Interest Subsidy Scheme (ISS), and converge other Government schemes such as PM Surya Ghar, PM SVANidhi, Ayushman Bharat, etc. Collectors have been advised to constitute District Level Coordination Committees to oversee the campaign. They have also been asked to explore the dovetailing of IEC funds from other related schemes.
Further, the H&UD Department has emphasised convergence of Angikaar–2025 with ongoing campaigns like Sahajog (saturation approach to Government schemes at the doorstep of the urban poor) and PM SVANidhi (welfare & micro-financing support to street vendors) for optimum impact, according to Subhananda Mohapatra, Mission Director OUHM.
