Brahmastra: Part One- Shiva, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead has registered several new records and outranked several other Indian movies. Though the film received mixed reviews, movie lovers who liked the flick appreciated the hard efforts invested by the entire team of Brahmastra. It is surprising as well as elating to learn that an Odia lad has played a major role in turning the movie into a visual spectacle.

While the story plot, screenplay, dialogues and onscreen performance of the lead actors have received negative points, the visual effects in the movie got mostly appreciated.

Fans are still in awe of the visual spectacles in Brahmastra, which was never before been attempted in any Indian movie. Of course, the VFX played a major part in drawing the audience to the theatres.

To everyone's surprise, Subrat Padhi, hailing from Bari in Jajpur district has played a major part in enhancing the visual effects in the movie.

Reminiscing about his inspiration, Subrat said, "After my matriculation, I got enrolled for ITI. However, I was not interested in ITI. So, I used to spend time at a friend's studio. Later, I took his camera and learned to operate it. With time I also learned operating drones and used to work on different wedding projects."

"Later, I learned video editing from him. But, editing wedding videos wasn't enough, my hunger to learn more pushed me to learn more editing skills," he added.

Describing about his current profession of visual effects and his journey of being a part of Brahmastra, he said, "After Quantico, I joined Byjus and then Redefine which was a Bollywood-Hollywood studio. After joining the studio I was extremely elated as I got the opportunity to work in Bollywood movies and above all, it was my good fortune that I became a part of Brahmastra."

Expressing his delight, Subrat said, "The credit sequence that features the names of the technicians associated with the project delighted me after I watched Brahmastra in theatre."

"It won't be wrong to say, that technicians are the real heroes behind the screen. The technicians play a vital role in turning the movie appealing for which the actors are able to impress the movie-goers. Of course, we extend the most vital support to the movie and without us, it may not be possible to impress the audience," said Subrat.
