A Memorandum of Agreement (MoU) was signed between these six AIIMS and CGHS, Union Health Ministry in the presence of Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan.

The Prime Minister also inaugurated three new medical colleges in Assam along with initiating the foundation work of a multidisciplinary, state-of-the-art hospital at IIT Guwahati.

A 37- year female from Aul Block of Kendrapara district was admitted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar with severely painful arthritic knee and hip joints of both sides. She was suffering from rheumatoid arthritis and was on numerous medications.
