Border 2 is one of the much-awaited flicks that the makers are yet to confirm officially. Since a couple of days, the buzz around the sequel of the 1997 war flick Border is intensifying. Recently, reports were abuzz that Sunny Deol and Ayushmann Khurrana have signed on for Border 2. While Anurag Singh will helm the sequel, will be produced by Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta.

Now, the latest reports suggest that the makers have locked the shooting schedule. If the reports are anything to go by, Sunny and Ayushmann will go on floors soon.

A report in Pinkvilla suggests that Border 2 will go on the floors in October 2024.

The entertainment portal quoted a close source to the development as saying, "The team behind Border 2 has been working tirelessly to prepare everything and it's been a long time in the making as they wanted to do justice to the magnitude of the first film."

Further, the source added, "Now, as the preparations are almost done, the team will begin shooting, as it stands now, the team will begin shooting in October."

Notably, during a recent podcast, while speaking to Ranveer Allahabadia, Sunny revealed that the sequel (Border 2) was initially planned in 2015.

Sunny said, "I've also heard that they're making Border 2. We were meant to start it a lot earlier, in 2015. But then my films flopped, so people were scared to make it then. Now, everyone wants to make it."

He further added, “I feel like doing it, but the story should lend a justification to that character. So that those who come to watch the film and hope it'll be fun, they're not disappointed, like they're having that fun in my film Gadar 2.”
