Bhubaneswar is the capital of Odisha .It is the biggest city and the main power corridor of Odisha. The city is famous for its ancient rich heritage especially its historic monumental temples. It is popularly known as the temple city. Because many temples built from sandstone are dotted around Bindu Sagar Lake in the old city, including the 11th-century Hindu Lingaraja Temple.

From 30 degree Celsius by 5.30 am and 88 per cent humidity level, the maximum temperature in the capital city of Bhubaneswar shot up to 41.6 degrees by 11:30 am. By 2: 30 pm, the mercury touched 43.8 degree Celsius, throwing life out of gear.

While talking to reporters, Atanu said that it is the Centre's job to control inflation. There has been price rise of commodities due to various reasons including transportation cost, fuel prices and other factors, he said.
Deb further said that it is being observed that transformers and wires get burnt due to overloading and it is a major challenge for the Odisha government.
