In a fresh development in the Ollywood casting couch controversy, a case was registered against producer Sanjay Nayak following a written complaint by actress Prakruti Mishra at a police station in Mumbai.

According to sources, Prakruti lodged a written complaint against Nayak at Dadabhai Naoroji Police Station in Andheri West alleging that the filmmaker’s statement has defamed her and her family.

Acting on the complaint lodged by the actress, the Police have registered a case against Nayak under Sec 500, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), sources informed.

Earlier while speaking to a private channel, Prakruti had said that in a Whatsapp group, some girls alleged that Sanjay Nayak was involved in casting couch. He would ask the newcomers to do compromises for work, Prakruti alleged.

A day after Prakruti these allegations against Nayak, the producer dismissed the charges and termed them baseless while addressing a press conference.

Nayak had also said he would file a defamation case against the two actresses and the news channel that broadcast their statements.
