Bhubaneswar is the capital of Odisha .It is the biggest city and the main power corridor of Odisha. The city is famous for its ancient rich heritage especially its historic monumental temples. It is popularly known as the temple city. Because many temples built from sandstone are dotted around Bindu Sagar Lake in the old city, including the 11th-century Hindu Lingaraja Temple.
Serial burglary incidents have now become a regular feature in Bhubaneswar, thereby creating fear in the minds of the residents of the Capital city. As per reports, as many as 34 flats in 14 apartments in Bhubaneswar have been burgled in the last six months.

In Salipur, the supporters of Prakash Behera said that they would have joined the BJD if the party had fielded him from his own constituency instead of the Barabati-Cuttack Seat.
Police Commissioner Sanjeeb Panda said, "Many times, we had information about four-wheelers with tinted glass being used for illegal activities. Taking a serious note of such allegations, we have started this drive jointly with traffic police and RTO staff.”
Apart from this, light to moderate rain is also likely to occur in several parts of the state in the next 24 hours. IMD has also predicted a rise in the maximum temperature in Odisha.
