In a bizarre incident, a young man’s Chocolate Day on Valentine’s Week went crazy after he spotted a worm crawling in Cadbury Diary Milk chocolate that he had bought for his girlfriend. The bizarre incident has been reported from Hyderabad.

The man had bought the chocolate from a metro station in the city. Taking to his X (Twitter) handle, the man identified as Robin Zaccheus wrote, “Found a worm crawling in Cadbury chocolate purchased at Ratnadeep Metro Ameerpet today. Is there a quality check for these near-expiry products? Who is responsible for public health hazards?”

He also shared a picture and video of the chocolate he had bought and attached the bill with it. In the video, a worm can be seen crawling in the Cadbury chocolate.

As expected, his post went viral with netizens asking him to take strict action against the company and officials concerned.

“Looks like this chocolate didn’t have double wrapping. The reason why dairy milk is double-wrapped (golden foil + white paper wrap) is to avoid worms get inside. P.S. Always inspect the product & expiry details before consumption,” an X user shared.

Another user wrote, “If this was in a Western country, we would have hit a jackpot. But Sorry, here you may not even get a refund.”

“This is a serious issue that cannot be brushed aside,” another user wrote.

Cadbury Diary Milk also responded to the complaint and wrote, "Hi, Mondelez India Foods Private Limited (formerly Cadbury India Ltd) endeavours to maintain the highest quality standards, and we regret to note that you have had an unpleasant experience. To enable us to address your concern, please write (cont) http://ms.spr.ly/l/6011ihCbH."
