Lucky control room operator wins Rs 45 crore lottery in UAE

It was a dream come true for Sreeju who has been working as a control room operator in the UAE after he won a whopping Rs 45 crore lottery. Coming from a lower-middle-class family in Kerala, the lottery has changed his life forever.

Hailing from Kerala, Sreeju, 39, has been working in Fujairah, UAE, for the past 11 years. Sreeju was at work when he got the news of winning Dh 20,000,000. He said he was speechless, shocked, and surprised to know that he had won the top prize.

“I was in my car about to drive around when I checked my Mahzooz account, and I couldn’t believe my eyes. I was confused about what to do when I saw my winnings. I waited for that call from Mahzooz to confirm that my winning was true,” the Gulf News quoted Sreeju.

When asked about his future plans, he said that he would like to buy a home in his hometown without any financial liabilities.

Similarly, another Indian, also from Kerala won Rs 11 lakh. 36-year-old Sarath Sivadasan from Kerala, residing in Dubai won the raffle prize with Emirates Draw FAST5. When contacted, Sarath said that he was still processing his unexpected win.
