While food restaurants, bars, pubs and clubs are coming up with innovative ideas to attract customers, a Japanese eatery has adopted a bizarre practice to captivate the attention of people.

The restaurant in Japan's Nagoya has a special menu called ‘Nagoya Lady’s Slap’ where customers can get slapped by beautiful waitresses in the eatery. Beautiful waitresses at the restaurant will slap you before you eat your food just for 300 yen.

The bizarre practice of the eatery called ‘Shachihoko-ya’ has been going viral for its uniqueness. Interestingly, people even pay 300 yen (Rs 170) to get slapped by the waitresses. As per the ritual, the waitresses will slap on the faces of the willing customers over and over again.

There’s also a 500 yen (Rs 283) surcharge if patrons request a special staff member to slap them. The service is very popular with Japanese men and women as well as foreign tourists. The harder the female staff slap the customers, the more excited they become. Moreover, they become more relaxed after getting slapped, it was learnt.

A social media user took to X, formerly known as Twitter and shared a video of customers getting slapped by the waitresses. In the caption, he wrote, “This is Shachihokoya- a restaurant in Nagoya – where you can buy a menu item called ‘Nagoya Lady’s slap’ for 300 yen.”

Since being shared online, the video has gone crazy viral and amassed a lot of traction online with thousands of views and hilarious comments from internet users.

“Maybe the customers were expecting a different kind of slap,” a user hilariously wrote.

Another user wrote, “The phrase ‘that slapper in the bar’ takes on a whole new meaning.”

“If I wanted to pay for this I’d get married again‼️🤣🥂😂” shared another user.
