Apart from the bizarre traffic, exorbitant fares have become a matter of concern for big cities across India. A Bengaluru-based woman has thrown light to the issue after she shared her experience of hiring an Uber to reach home.

The woman was shocked to find out that the Uber prices were literally equal to the charges in a flight. The irony is that there is no regulation against such price hike. Taking to her X handle, Manasvi Sharma expressed her incredulity and shared, “I booked flight for 3.5k from Pune to Bangalore. And then, a cab for 2k from Bangalore airport to my home💀.”

She also shared a screenshot showing that the least an UberGo was charging Rs 2,005 at around 12:19 am. The irony continued as the ride was labelled ‘Affordable, compact rides.’

Manasvi pointed out that a flight ticket could be a bargain as compared to taking a cab with the fares soaring to such heights in Bengaluru. Social media users set the internet blaze with their comments in the post.

“I went to Ahmedabad last month and the uber price from railway station to the airport was just Rs. 192!! The prices there are "competitive and lucrative" in truest sense 😊,” commented a user.

Another user wrote, “So, what do you want, Flight 2k and Cab 3.5k?”

“Commute to and from Bangalore airport to the city is one of the worst commutes I have ever taken in my life! It takes a lifetime to get around,” commented another user.
