Last month, Google launched Pixel 7 Pro and prior to that Apple launched iPhone 14 Pro Max. Both the devices are the best Android and iOS on offer. Being newer of the pair, Pixel 7 Pro offers a good camera, a clean Android experience and some great features while iPhone 14 Pro Max has dynamic island, helpful features, and a powerful processor.

Both the devices closely resemble their predecessors in terms of design. Now instead of a notch, there is dynamic island on iPhone which is cleverly used by apps. Also, Pixel has curved sides while iPhone has it flat. Both the devices have IP68 rating.

Both the devices have 6.7-inch and 120 Hz display in common. They offer always on display. The display on either one of the devices in fantastic. Technically, Pixel has a superior panel but the display quality is same on both.

Camera segment of these smartphone is debatable. On Pixel 7 Pro, there is a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 48MP 5x optical telephoto camera; there’s an upgraded 10.8MP camera on the front while iPhone 14 Pro Max has a 48MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, a 12MP 3x optical telephoto camera and a 12MP selfie camera. iPhone produces a bit brightened pictures while Pixel captures true to life pictures. In ultrawide shots, iPhone surpasses Pixel in picture quality. The telephoto lens does excellent job on both. Apple’s new photonic engine gives it an edge over Pixel. Other than that iPhone has lot many other options to offer in camera segment like action mode, etc.

Coming to performance, iPhone 14 Pro Max is the clear winner. The new A16 bionic powers iPhone while Pixel is powered by the new tensor G2 chipset. A16 bionic has faster processing power, better handling of graphic intensive games and multitasking.

The Pixel 7 Pro has a much larger 5,000 mAh battery compared to the iPhone 14 Pro Max’s 4,323 mAh cell. iPhone has better power efficiency due to its processor. iPhone offers 20W wired while Pixel 7 Pro charges up to 30W. iPhone 14 Pro Max was launched with iOS 16, while Pixel was launched with android 13.

Rest assured either one of them is worthy of your hard earned money. Iphone 14 Pro Max starts in India for Rs 1,39,000 while Pixel 7 Pro starts at Rs 84,999.
