Verbal attacks and counter attacks have intensified in Odisha ahead of the crucial third phase of voting. This time, it was the turn of Union Minister and senior BJP leader Giriraj Singh who on Wednesday held marathon programmes in Sambalpur.

While speaking to OTV during his roadshow, Singh exuded confidence that there will be a change of government in Odisha.

“CM Naveen Patnaik is now 77 years old and wants to make VK Pandian the next CM by destroying Odia Asmita. I think that the people of Odisha should oppose this. We want to assure that a son/daughter of Odisha will be the chief minister of the state after forming the government here,” said Singh.

Stating that there is no governance in Odisha, Singh said that CM Naveen Patnaik has been held in captivity and abducted. “He (Naveen) comes, speaks for two minutes and goes back. Hence to protect Odia Asmita, we will form a new government and it will be a government of peace and development,” the Union Minister said.

To a question on BJP’s 400 par mission, Singh stated that the party will certainly accomplish this along with the Sambalpur Lok Sabha seat.

“Once the BJP forms government in Odisha, we will take steps to start Hanuman Jayanti which has been stopped by the state government. There will also be action against officers,” Singh said.

Meanwhile, no comments could be obtained from the BJD leaders over the allegations of the Union Minister.
