Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP ) stalwart and Leader of Opposition (LoP) Jayanarayan Mishra on Sunday dropped yet another bomb claiming that Rairakhol’s BJD MLA Rohit Pujari expressed his desire to contest from Rairakhol on a BJP ticket.

LoP Mishra said this while responding to what the Rairakhol MLA said against him at the Jan Sampark Padayatra in Sambalpur.

“Two days after he (Rohit Pujari) was dropped from the cabinet, he had called me and said 'The way I have been treated in the BJD, it seems I can’t stay in the party any longer. Can I get a ticket for Rairakhol?'” Mishra said.

Earlier in the day, while addressing a meeting at the Jan Sampark Padayatra in Sambalpur, Rohit Pujari said LoP Jayanarayan Mishra has done nothing for Sambalpur district despite being the MLA for four times and he is the hurdle in the development of Sambalpur district.

Responding to the allegations, LoP Mishra said, “He is feeling insecure inside the party. He is saying so to please the leaders when I (Jayanarayan Mishra) am attacking the Chief Minister. He should think about his future instead of thinking about our future.”

“The hurdle in the development of Sambalpur district is none other than Chief Minister himself. Who was the Chief Minister when I was elected to the seat here four times? He (Naveen Patnaik) was the Chief Minister. And, a Chief Minister is responsible for the development of the state.”

“During my tenure, a drinking water project was done, the conditions of the roads in the district have been developed, colleges have been developed and national educational institutions have been set up. In January or February, Nitin Gadkari is expected to visit Sambalpur for the development of the outer ring road. Earlier the roads were kutcha ones. Now they have been concretised,” said Mishra.

“Can he (Rohit Pujari) say what he has done in Rairakhol? He is setting his eyes to earn money from coal transportation. He himself was suspended from the cabinet for collecting money from transferring employees. The Chief Minister and he are outsiders. While the former was from Delhi, the latter was from Rourkela,” he added.
