A permanent administrator of Srimandir will be appointed soon. The newly formed BJP government has reportedly started the process in this regard.

Odisha Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan informed on Sunday that emphasis will be given to appointing a full-time administrator of Srimandir in the first 100-day agenda of the newly formed government.

According to Harichandan, though there have been no problems in the management of Srimandir in recent times, the appointment of a permanent administrator has become essential and the government will take a clear decision in this regard soon.

“Though there have been no problems in the management of Srimandir in recent times, the honourable court has directed for the appointment of a full-time administrator. We have to appoint a full-time administrator of Srimandir at any cost. One needs to observe all the procedures of Srimandir including darshan and all the rituals and keep those in proper control. We have already started discussion about it,” said Harichandan.

“The government will take a clear decision in this regard very soon. A full-time administrator of Srimandir may be appointed in the first 100-day agenda of the government,” he added.

Earlier, The Supreme Court had directed Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) to appoint a permanent administrator of the managing committee while passing an interim judgement on Srimandir reforms.
