India’s all-round display helped the Rohit Sharma Army beat defending champions England and storm into the 2024 Men’s T20 World Cup final in the second semifinal at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. While Hitman Rohit Sharma slammed his 32nd T20I fifty (39-ball 57), Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel picked three wickets each.

Despite a tricky pitch with a slow pace and low bounce, Indian players adjusted well to mix risk-taking and caution. The much needed win left India captain Rohit Sharma visibly emotional who played a crucial role in beating Australia and now England.

The India great was almost in tears after the Men in Blue sealed their place in the final. After completing the win and shaking hands with England players, Rohit was evidently emotional and was spotted sitting on the balcony of the dressing room.

He looked as if he was wiping his tears as the rest of the team walked back to the dressing room. India’s run machine Virat Kohli was then seen consoling the India captain. A video of the whole incident has now gone viral on social media platforms.

However, fans highlighted that he wasn’t crying but was overwhelmed by the terrific win to avenge England for the 2022 World Cup loss.

“I just want tears of happiness for him. 🥺🥺 Bro is already thinking about the finals. He can't handle another final loss. Mother nature be kind to our bois in blue 💙🥺,” commented a user.

Another user wrote, “Man! that man still regrets his 2023 SemiF mistake....he made sure this time he didn't over do things and only kept the scoreboard ticking in a constant rate....he deserves a trophy this time.”

“Ro, ro le Bhai. Bahot gam ke aasu roye hai ye toh khusi ke aasu hai aane de😭💙,” commented another user.

Worth mentioning, Rohit has taken India into the final of an ICC event for the second time, having captained the team to the 2023 World Cup Final last year, where they suffered a heartbreaking defeat to Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
