The Odisha BJP has alleged that Rs 50,000 crore was misappropriated annually in the name of 5T during BJD's rule. The claims were made in its political resolution passed at the State Executive Committee meeting in Puri.

Odisha's Education Minister Nityananda Gond vows strict action against anyone found involved in the corruption in the 5T School initiative.

BJP spokesperson Anil Biswal alleged, “The 5T was an undemocratic system and it was a political programme. The Election Commission of India has deemed it a political programme and took action. Rs 500 crore was spent for 5T publicity and Rs 50 to Rs 60 crore was spent towards helicopter rides.”

The party has also sought an answer from the Chief Secretary in this regard.

A major controversy broke out over the distribution of bags with the logos of Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha and 5T to the beneficiaries under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) at PDS centres in Odisha. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has strongly opposed the move of the state government. Surprisingly, some officials were spotted distributing the bags to the ration card holders.

The entry of YouTuber Kamiya Jani into Puri Srimandir excited protests from servitors at the Baba Akhandalamani temple at Aradi in Bhadrak during 5T chairperson VK Pandian's visit on Wednesday.

While Mishra denied Pandian’s direct nomination filing in the next election. However, Mishra further said that there would be no issues if Pandian decides to contest the election.

Entrusting government facilities and the tall claims of the government landed the patient in big trouble. The incident clearly shows the apathy and the irregularities of health services, which is included under the 5T initiative.
