Stringent action if corruption found in 5T schools: Odisha School and Mass Education Minister

Odisha's Education Minister Nityananda Gond vows strict action against anyone found involved in the corruption in the 5T School initiative.

If there is any corruption in the 5T School initiative, stern action would be taken against whosoever is found guilty, said School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond, who formally assumed office on Monday. 

While replying to journalists' queries, the School and Mass Education Minister said, “If we receive any complaint regarding corruption in 5T Schools, an investigation would be initiated and, accordingly action would be taken.”

When asked about the vacant posts in schools across the state, he said they would be filled up soon. He also informed that action would be taken against the fake teachers who were caught in the past.

Coming down heavily on the teachers who are not reporting at schools after a transfer, he said stringent action would be taken against them. He advised the teachers to go to their schools and take classes regularly. 

“We will take whatever steps required to streamline the education department and the qualitative improvement of education. As an ST & SC Development Minister, we are also committed to take the benefits of government schemes to the ground level.
